Code of Conduct

Greenbank is committed to maintaining a positive school environment.   All students are expected to uphold the values and expectations of our school’s code of conduct.

We believe that schools are established to help students learn the skills, knowledge and values which will better equip them to live full, purposeful and productive lives. Along with this educational right, is the recognition that it is the child’s responsibility to strive for academic excellence as well as be mindful of the school community code of conduct at all times. We are proud to support Character Education as an integral part of student curriculum at Greenbank P. S.

We recognize that parents and guardians are the first and foremost providers of discipline for their children.  Discipline is described as the instruction and reinforcement of appropriate behaviours.  Inappropriate student behaviour is to be addressed to ensure student understanding and compliance with expected standards.  A range of progressive consequences may be invoked to help a student make appropriate choices.  The school works in partnership with the home to maintain a high standard of school discipline.  In accordance with the Education Act and Safe Schools Act, our School Community has established guidelines to ensure that it provides an inviting, positive and safe learning environment.
